I was born in the old Transvaal and moved down to Cape Town (Western Cape), where I finished my school and college years in Stellenbosch.

All my life, I had pets. It was in my late thirties I became more involved in animal rescue. I worked for a big corporate company as a PA, where I was known as the Animal Lady. My dreamjob would be to work alongside a Game Ranger, saving animal lives.

At the moment my family consists of 9 dogs, of which 8 is rescues. Four parrots (Greenwing Macaw, Umbrella Cacketoo, African Grey and a Parakeet (which was rescued three months ago). I also have a Pet Rat, Biscuit, and believe you me, he/she is very intelligent. Yes, there is more … I have two tarantulas,a Chilean Fireleg and a Zebra Whiteknee.

I love sports, the outdoors and nature.
My wish is stricter laws for any animal abuse with a no-tollerance attitude. We are destroying our beautiful Planet!!
